Huawei Band 10 brings up the question: Are fitness bands still needed in today’s fast-paced world where smartwatches are the popular choice? We once began using dependable and reasonably priced fitness bands, such as the Xiaomi Band 2, but we eventually forgot about them.
Design and wear experience

The Huawei Band 10 has a very straightforward but practical design. It weighs only 15 grams, so even after wearing it all day, it doesn’t become fatigued. Because it is only 8.99 mm thick, it feels incredibly thin and fashionable in your hand. I was given the Matte Black version to evaluate, and it felt really high-end and minimalistic. Even after a month of use, there have been no scratches on its aluminum case. Even in the summer, the fluoroelastomer used to make its strap doesn’t irritate the skin.
Display and visual experience
The Huawei Band 10 boasts a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with 256 x 402 pixel resolution. Even in direct sunlight, the screen can be seen because it is so bright. Its 60Hz refresh rate can occasionally feel a bit less fluid, but that isn’t a significant disadvantage. Additionally, you have the option to customize the watch faces on it. You can download classic, health-focused, active, and other watch faces via the Huawei Health app. Although it is also available, the Always-On Display feature rapidly depletes the battery.
Experience with software and apps
HarmonyOS 5.0, which powers the Huawei Band 10, is incredibly fluid and intuitive. Swiping up reveals notifications, swiping down reveals fast settings, and swiping to the side reveals health widgets, making its layout simple to use. iOS 13 and later and Android 9 are compatible with the Huawei Health app. The app gathers all of your health information in one location, including your heart rate, step count, sleep monitoring, SpO2, and stress level. It also allows you to create training schedules for activities like cycling, walking, golf, and running.
Performance
From a performance standpoint, the Huawei Band 10 is remarkable. It has sensors such as an accelerometer, heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, and HRV monitoring. The outcomes were nearly the same when I compared it to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity is still quite robust. Basic functions like music control and call reception are present, despite the absence of Bluetooth calling. In addition, it has remote camera capabilities, a timer, a stopwatch, and an alarm.
Impressive Battery Life

In relation to the Huawei Band 10’s battery, the business states that it can last up to 14 days, but in my experience, it only lasted about 13. It takes roughly 45 minutes to fully charge, and a short 5-minute charge offers two days of battery backup.
Should you buy the Huawei Band 10?
The Huawei Band 10 can be a fantastic option for you if you prioritize your fitness and are searching for a precise, dependable, and long-lasting gadget. It is superior to other bands on the market due to its battery, tracking data accuracy, and design. However, smartwatches from brands like boAt, Noise, or Fire-Boltt are available if you prefer a large screen or Bluetooth calling. However, the Huawei Band 10 is an excellent option for health tracking and long battery life.
